Grilled Cedar-Planked Salmon

Ingredients

6 salmon fillet, about 1½ lb

Seasoning

2 tbsp lemon juice
1/2 tsp grated lemon rind
1 tbsp chopped chives
2 tsp Dijon mustard
2 tbsp olive oil
salt and pepper to taste

Dill Sauce

1/2 cup sour cream
2 tbsp finely chopped cucumber
1 tbsp chopped fresh dill
2 tsp minced chives
1/8 tsp salt
dash pepper

Method

  1. Soak two 12″x7″ untreated cedar planks in water for 1 hour or up to 24 hours. Place 3 fillets on each plank.
  2. Mix seasoning ingredients in a bowl. Brush half of the mixture over salmon. Place salmon on greased grill over medium-high heat. Close lid and cook for 20 to 25 minutes. Brush with remaining seasoning after cooking for about 12 minutes. Fish is done when it flakes easily when tested with fork.
  3. Mix together the dill sauce ingredients in a bowl. Serve salmon with dill sauce on the side.

Makes 6 servings.
