Soup with Blended Winter Melon and Corn


60 g corn kernel
600 g winter melon
1 cup water
2 cups chicken broth
15 g Chinese ham


  1. Rinse ham and cut into shreds.
  2. Peel winter melon and cut into large chunks. Steam winter melon for 15 minutes. Blend into a paste in a food processor.
  3. Put winter melon in a pot. Add water and chicken broth. Bring to a boil.
  4. Add corn and ham. Bring to a boil again. Season with salt and light soy sauce before serving.
